Welcome to "College Bound: ADHD Workshop for Academic Success". This workshop is designed to provide college-bound students with ADHD practical tools and strategies for academic success. During this workshop, you will learn how ADHD can impact your academic success and how to overcome common challenges. We will cover topics such as time management, effective studying techniques, and self-advocacy. You will also have the opportunity to connect with other college-bound students & parents who are going through similar experiences.

Here is a breakdown of our agenda:

1. "Understanding ADHD in College": An overview of how ADHD can impact academic success and why it's important to address it as a student.

2. "Time Management and Planning": Strategies for managing your time and planning your schedule to maximize your productivity and minimize stress.

3. "Effective Study Techniques": Techniques for studying smarter, not harder, and retaining information more effectively.

4. "Self-Advocacy and Asking for Help": Understanding your rights as a student with ADHD and how to advocate for yourself to get the resources and support you need.

5. "Moving Forward to Academic Success": Developing a plan to continue to work towards academic success after the workshop.

This workshop includes a workbook for participants to use during the activities portions of the workshop.

Workshop Facilitator

Tiffany Dennis, LPC is a licensed professional counselor and ADHD certified clinical services provider (ADHD-CCSP). She has extensive experience working with individuals with ADHD. Anyone over the age of 18, located in the United States, is welcome to register for the workshop.
